JFL has written to Messrs Cameron, Clegg and Cable on behalf of many of our members and supporters.
Below are a list of links that have also been sent to them, by email and mail, please have a read, there are some real horror stories, how can any of this be happening in this day and age? How can it be right? How can it possibly be deemed as being fair? Where is the humanity????
To cut a long letter short the following is a short selection of the questions asked.
The tenants cannot afford legal advice or representation due to the imbalance of power between pubco and tenant, is this fair? Even more importantly is it fair that lives are being put at risk?
It has been alleged that although tenants have been promised action in June 2011 that the reality is that no action will be legal until 2015, is this true?
Is this government going to be there for the tenants when they lose everything, or when they are made ill or they are suicidal?
The evidence supplied to your good selves of the reality of the pubco/tenant relationship is only a very small proportion, is it fair that honest, hard working people should suffer as has been shown, should it be either acceptable ot tolerated, should this government now step in and protect current tenants and also to ensure that these questionable practices never bring this trade into such disrepute again?
These tenants cannot afford legal cases, they need your help and they need fairness, can this government give them the protection and help that they deserve?
As part of the Lib Dem pub manifesto, they pledged that the leased sector should be investigated by the Competition Commission, we totallly agree with this conclusion and implore this coalition government to act now before it is too late!
Some of the monies raised from the fund raising single'What can we do now' will go towards seeking Counsel opinion and if need be court action. Something has to be done, this is people's lives, livelihoods and homes and that is before we even start on the detrimental affect on the Great British Pub,
it is just not good enough! What Can We Do Now?
Please have a read through some of these links, I am sure that many will be justifiably horrified!

Inez is fully aware of the damage done to the industry by the smoke ban, but for the moment it is all the other problems caused by lack of footfall that have her attention. Investigations have been underway since 2004 into various matters concerning the pub trade but the government (Labour) in their infinite wisdom, brought all the other niggling problems to the surface by simply banning smoking and sending 68% of the pub trades regulars elsewhere in pursuit of happiness!
Inez will not back down (as won't f2c) so God help Cameron, Clegg & Cable!
