Listen up people, do not despair for all is not lost.
In fact people, nothing is lost and all is to be gained!
Monday 12th July marked a great day in the lives of smokers for a man went on video, for the whole world to see - and made a complete prat of himself! If you go on the freedom2choose blog you can witness it for yourself!:-
http://freedom-2-choose.blogspot.com/2010/07/death-penalty-and-smoking-ban-do-not.html
Apparently, after 2 whole weeks of their inviting website "Your freedoms" (The Great Repeal Bill), ordained by our esteemed No2 IC, the Death Penalty & the Smoking Ban have been exempted from possible consutation! Now there's a surprise folks.
I, for one, never expected the Smoking Ban to be part of the "Great Repeal Bill". The website was merely a smokescreen for Clegg &Co. I knew they would 'cherry pick' the matters/concerns raised by more than 150,000 people nationwide so as to be seen to be listening to the great british public; ie, the caring coalition.
It was also fairly straight forward, mathematically, that the Smoke Ban would top the list of 'complainants' yet similarly straight forward that Clegg & co would ignore such a tempestuous subject so early in their leadership infancy. It's just too emotive a subject for one with his feet so newly under the table!
Look at it like this.
Clegg: Public schoolboy (which doesn't automatically mean above average intelligence!), graduated from such and with his background went into politics with some hope of success. He has dabbled with the occasional fag here and there but has accepted that, over the years, it is not nice to be seen smoking - even frowned upon in certain circles. Having never been 'bitten' by the 'evil weed' it has been easy for him to avoid being a fully fledged 'fagger' - I didn't say faggot though! His politically upward surge will have fully warned him off fags/cigarettes/pipes for life as he has seen the Health Lobby grow in strength at a phenomenal rate over the past 10 years. His advisors (probably ex public school chums -oh jolly totty, what? - will have seen the same and warned him of such. To suddenly start smoking would have tainted his career severely (the odd fag in private doesn't matter, nobody can espy that!).
A miracle has happened for Clegg insomuch that here he is, leader of the 3rd most popular party (with not even 60 seats in Parliament) sitting at the right hand of governance. Being deputy Prime Minister is a position he could only dream about a year ago - until Cameron's indecisiveness cost him a 20pt lead in the opinion polls. Now, sitting in the highest position he could ever hope to attain he is a surveyor of all the land; ie the people - but that doesn't mean he sees all before him!
You must remember that he will have the SCOTH report shoved up his snout whenever deemed necessary, memo's from the WHO, communications from the EU of what is expected, not to mention ASH, CRUK and the RCP chipping in for all they are worth about the appalling damage caused by smoking etc. In fact, it is fair odds that the pillock has already been so brainwashed by these organisations/people that he hasn't even read 1/20th of what smokers wrote on his "Your Freedoms" website. Also, don't forget that the weak kneed willy wankers (LibDems) almost all voted for the smoking ban as hardly any of them knew the truth of the matter. I'll bet that most of the LibDems know less about the intricacies of the smokeban than a schoolchild excepting it was widely reported that it was wiping out the human race and therefore had to banned somehow! The sheep went with the 'ayes' and the free thinking spirits went with the 'noes' - simple as that folks.
As Chairman of freedom2choose this year has been a difficult year, for we knew we had an election coming but we didn't know we had a coalition (for however long it lasts) coming. There are plenty of positives to take from this "Your Freedoms" website for Nick Clegg has actually done us a favour. He has, inadvertantly, highlighted one of the biggest problems of 13 years of misrule - the Smoking Ban. He will not want to look at what it has cost this country financially, both in implementation, continuance and in extra benefits claimed, for that would detract from the millions of lives it is supposedly saving. It wouldn't occur to a public schoolboy that amending the smoking ban would kick-start the internal economy again as he is not a frequenter of pubs where money was once freely spent by millions of people!
However people, we are not alone! Does Cleggy know just how many MPs are now against this spiteful, restrictive, socially destructive ban? Brian Binley (whom I will be meeting soon-with others) has already tabled an EDM (No 406) to have the ban reviewed BECAUSE OF THE DAMAGE IT IS DOING. Early days yet but he already has 12 signatures on the motion; it is our job to write to all MPs asking them to sign the EDM.
ASH, CRUK, the WHO et al cannot stop the inevitable if at least 50 signatures appear on that EDM. What are you waiting for? Backsides in gear, pen in hand and get writing people! Show Cleggy he is wrong, show Cleggy the amount of hatred for this ban there really is; make Parliament listen!
My esteemed colleague Dick Puddlecote has blasted this new coalition and in a way he is quite right to (link):- http://dickpuddlecote.blogspot.com/2010/07/great-repeal-swindle.html
but I tend to view it as a grand starting point for f2c.
What millions of smokers do not know (until this moment) is that this morning Nick Clegg will have received the most comprehensive document ever put together by any anti ban organisation (it will be available online soon). This document lays out the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth about the engineering, the skulduggery and the lies that lay behind this ban. If he reads it then sobeit, he will be in a quandary. If he doesn't then he will remain a blind fool, ever to be governed by the WHO & NWO - he will be just another puppet on a string!
It has taken f2c nearly 2 months to put this document together - a lot of hard work. but, it spells out in no uncertain terms just how the general public and MPs have been duped and how smokers have been targetted and discriminated against. There is absolutely nothing in this presentation that is untrue, therefore the way forward is to send this document to every MP in the land - let them judge for themselves.
Do not be disheartened by this tremendous blunder from Clegg, he will learn from his mistakes - as we all do through life. He has made a decision based on 'advice' & 'pressure' from numerous sources and bloody good luck to him for it was a bad decision, but now is the time for us all to show the lilly livered political nappy wearer where the truth lays and what the lies & fabrications have cost this country!
Black Monday-not on your nelly, not for us at any rate!
